Teaching Basic English in Higher Education: Effective EFL teaching through students’ lens.

This study is quantitative-descriptive that applying a questionnaire to explore undergraduate students’ expectations and preferences in EFL teaching-learning activities. A convenience sample of 120 first-year university undergraduates at the start their life was used. They were enrolled an Economic students degree course Indonesian university. The focused on students' experiences perceptions concerning teaching learning strategies, growth skills, quality English lecturers, suggestions toward Teaching-Learning Process. data collected calculated as percentages discussed. majority preferred projects effective strategies. Grammar considered most skill. Furthermore, good skills knowledgeable reckoned favorable qualities teacher. recommended more fun activities, fewer assignments, seek for other using online applications.
